“How many children do you have?” they ask.
I say “I have three” and put on my mask.
Then I give them a smile and walk away,
“FOUR, I had FOUR!” that’s what I want to say.

I guess it depends on where I am at.

Yet one is in heaven and three are on earth.
If a stranger asks and they’re being polite,
I’ll say I have three, but it doesn’t feel right.
